A day at the beach in Filey

today was our branch/ward beach trip. we went to East Yorkshire, to a town Filey. Very pretty place. They were all shocked that I have not been to the beach that much, and that the closest beach to me is at least 6 hours away, and that we have to plan a family trip to go to the beach… I’ve been to the beach about ~ 6 seperate ocations (florida, california, hawaii, BC) and they’re like “i go to the beach 6 times in one week”… Here are some pictures, enjoy.

I’m just wondering if this was an ocean beach, because we do have lake beaches closer to our house but most of the are not very nice and we still don’t go that often.
However, Amy, I think you missed an ocean trip in your list; Washington, at I believe Olympia (or close by), when you were probably 9 or 10 and there were waves like 20 or 30 feet high (well maybe not that high but they were high). That was an awesome beach but definitely not a swimming beach.

this was the ocean beach – of course. It was about 2 – 3 hours away from Morley, Leeds. And I don’t remember that trip to the beach in Seatle. – but then again I forgot to add the Mexico – the gulf of mexico on the list.

Amy, the closest beach to Edmonton is Vancouver and that’s about 13 hours away (by car). How are you getting there in 6 hours?

Don’t let all these guys get you down with their attention to detail. Let it suffice to say we don’t have a nice beach close to home. Hope you’re have a fabulous time–wherever you are this week!
