A day at the beach in Filey
today was our branch/ward beach trip. we went to East Yorkshire, to a town Filey. Very pretty place. They were all shocked that I have not been to the beach that much, and that the closest beach to me is at least 6 hours away, and that we have to plan a family trip to go to the beach… I’ve been to the beach about ~ 6 seperate ocations (florida, california, hawaii, BC) and they’re like “i go to the beach 6 times in one week”… Here are some pictures, enjoy.

*as a side note, I will have to postpone my trip to London till after school starts again b/c I have run out of money – hee hee. but the rest is a go

2 (or is it 3) weeks till summer!
Hi – so I’m sorry I have not posted much this last month – nothing really has been going on. I now work in the primary (that’s an organization in my church for the kids aged 3 – 11). I teach the 8 – 11 year olds. There’s only 3 in my class.
This last week I have done some hiking – its really nice. I went back to the Yorkshire Dales, and climbed one of the 3 famous peaks. On the Sat. of the first week of summer me and Andy are going to do the 3 peak challenge, I’m so excited. Here are a couple pictures from the hike. This was the smalles peak, at 2395 ft above sea level. the others are 3000ft.

second half of half term
Well half term is now over and I’ve had 2 days of work (out of 3) – not bad. Here are some pictures from the last activities that we did before the end…
These next two pictures are on our hike in the Yorkshire Moors (pronounced mores). This is an abbey (pronounced Re-view – but I’ll be darned if I could spell it) – very cool. And the next is the typical cottage they show for England (in movies).
These next 2 pictures are of the Institute graduation (that is a program that my church offers to learn more about the bible – for the 18 – 30 yr olds). There was a ceremony and then a fun dance/ball.

half of half term
Well before this gets too long – because I want to make this a younger readers friendly. Here are only the best pictures of the adventures I’ve had this week. On Monday I went to one of England’s biggest (if not biggest) amusement parks: Alton Towers. It was pretty awesome!! *Not as good as Disney World though. My favorite ride was Oblivion the straight down drop!

Tuesday we went to the media museum — it was interesting… I hope that you’re jealous Holly because its all about what you do for a living… I had a chance to be on TV news… The people watching me said I did better than some reporters.

Today (Thurs) we went to Golden Acre Park – it was SOO big and beautiful. Here is some of what it looked like (walking part)
Going hiking tomorrow, and to other places on Saturday. Stay tuned!!

ice skating adventure in shefield
it was a lovely indoor skating rink – every rink is indoor. They were all impressed how I, and my Canadian friend, were able to skate so well. They didnt realize that we’ve been skating a lot more, and longer than they have… And they were also really shocked that we would skate outside by flooding the field, or skating on a lake/pond.

And this lovely knee is what you get when you try to show off (lol), and trip!

This is my birthday party – the sparkler was shaped as a “B”. and this last one is of the dinner andy took me out to at a Pub! Yorkshire pudding and roast beef wrap, YUM!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY
Although I have encouraged Amy to take complete control of her blog, she has yet to remove my (Randal’s) access to it. So, I am going to abuse my powers just enough to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!
